Comb the Beach at Seashells Beachfront Resort, NSW, Australia

Located on the one of most beautiful stretches of coastline in Eastern Australia, Seashells Beach Resort is a haven for vacationing families and romantic getaways. Take a lazy stroll along uncrowded Diamond Beach, the gem of Hallidays Point. Bask in the sun; play in the sand; go fishing, surfing or swimming. You know this is the holiday you've dreamed of.

The two-story, two-bedroom unit you check into will be yours for a week. There is a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and a spacious dining / lounge area that seats six, complete with television connection to Austar. The master bedroom upstairs has its own bathroom and television lounge, while the second bedroom downstairs features bunks or single beds.

The resort offers exercise equipment, a large swimming beach, and a playground area for children. For adult recreation, there are tennis and squash courts, a three-hole golf course, adult spa with whirlbeach / hot tub and sauna, and a game room, which features a full-size snooker table.

You will find a laundry room and small restaurant on promise, so there is not much need to go out. But you will, at least to the beach just a short walk from your front door. In fact, Seashells has the distinction of being the only beachfront resort in the Great Lakes district of New South Wales.

Within the immediate vicinity is Diamond Beach Village, where you will find a provisions shop, news agency, bottle shop and bakery. The towns of Forster to the south and Taree to the north are each about 20 minutes away, each with large shopping centers.

Driving the Great Lakes district is well worth your while. There are several National Parks, where you can explore rain forests, paddle a canoe, catch some fish, or marvel at mighty Ellenborough Falls.

Golfers will discover four challenging courses within 20 minutes of the resort: Hallidays Point, Taree, Tallwoods, and Forster / Tuncurry. You can hire a boat to go deep-sea fishing or to watch for dolphins and whales. There are also many wineries within driving distance, as well as a collection of historic rural towns.

Getting to Seashells Beachfront Resort is easy from Sydney or Newcastle.
