Must Eat Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach (20)

Enjoying a burger from Must Eat Myrtle Beach ListNo matter what time of year, you know if you’re vacationing in Myrtle Beach you’re going to be eating great all week long. Some like the local spots, some like the trendy spots, and some like on-site dining spots like the Dunes Village’s Admirals Room, Pool Side Grill or Captain’s Cafe! We put together our Must Eat Myrtle Beach list of the best of the best restaurants in the area. Check it out!

North End

Dick’s Last Resort

4700 Hwy 17 S | (843) 272-7794

This is definitely a place you’ll find tourists, but if you’ve never been it’s a must eat! Here you’ll get rude servers (it’s part of the gimmick), funky hats that will make you laugh, delicious food and cocktails. This is a family-friendly restaurant located in Barefoot Landing, however, we’d say for an even more amusing experience give this place a try when you’re with a group of adult friends.

4886 N Kings Hwy | (843) 272-1176

This Italian chophouse is also located at Barefoot Landing and trust us when we say, they will not disappoint. At Umberto’s the menu items are savory and endless. Choose from appetizers, entrees, and desserts like fried calamari, veal Umberto, lobster ravioli, steak scampi, and tiramisu. Though Barefoot Landing can be a bit crowded, Umberto’s offers a laidback and inviting atmosphere.

The Grumpy Monk

1317 Celebrity Cir | (843) 712-8020

The Grumpy Monk in Broadway at the Beach is a new local favorite, which also makes it a Myrtle Beach Must Eat! With tons of beer on tap, live music, and an eclectic menu, how could it not be? Their menu features pub grub favorites including their specialty Monk Turds (jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese, bacon, scallions, and lightly fried) and an extensive fresh sushi menu. This place is sure to be a good time for everyone in your vacation crew!

Looking for other great restaurants in Broadway at the Beach, here’s a list of our favorite picks at the popular Myrtle Beach spot.

Dagwood’s Deli & Sports Bar

400 Mr. Joe White Ave | (843) 448-0100

600 US-17 Bus | (843) 828-4600

Another local favorite, Dagwood’s is a little sports pub with two locations (central and south end) with the same delicious menu, specials, and beer. Choose from Burgers & Baskets to out-of-this-world deli sandwiches like Rachel’s Reuben, Dagwood’s Dipper, or The Brooks Brother Jumbo Deli Sandwich. You seriously can’t go wrong with any choice you make!

Johnny D’s Waffles and Benedicts

3900 Hwy 17 S | (843) 663-1700

3301 N Kings Hwy | (843) 448-6789

Who doesn’t love breakfast? Johnny D’s is perfect for breakfast or lunch and has two locations (north end and central) for you to dine in. Their breakfast menu features drool-worthy items like the Cinnaroll Waffle, Chicken & Waffles, California Benedict, and Crab Cake Benedict. If you’re looking for more of a lunch fix try the Hot Honey Habanero Sandwich or their Pork Belly Burger.

South End

Miyabi Japanese Restaurant

9732 N Kings Hwy | (843) 449-9294

4201 US-17 | (843) 651-4616

Miyabi not only has amazing menu options, but it’s also so much fun to experience! This family-friendly restaurant has two locations (north and south end) that are sure to have everyone in awe as the chefs’ slice, dice, and show off their culinary skills right before your eyes. Choose from their hibachi menu or order from their sushi bar. They have some of the best sushi in town including some of our favorite rolls like the Sunset Strip, Mexican Roll, and Volcano Roll! If you decide to dine in for hibachi, it’s best to make reservations ahead of time.

10880 Ocean Hwy | (843) 979-2747

This cute little hide-away restaurant is located in the Hammock Shops Village in Pawleys Island, but it’s so worth the drive. They have some of the best burgers and fresh-cut Belgian fries in Myrtle Beach. You must try some of our favorites like the smothered bacon, melted mixed cheese, and buttermilk fries, the Hagley, or the Smokehouse burger. Yum!
