One man is dead after a Sunday night boating accident, Horry County Fire Rescue said.

One man is dead after a Sunday night boating accident, Horry County Fire Rescue said.

One person is dead and another seriously injured after a boating accident Sunday night, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.

A 28-year-old man from Myrtle Beach died from injuries sustained the boating accident, the Horry County coroner announced hours after the accident was reported. This incident is an ongoing investigation with the Department of Natural Resources.

At 8:23 p.m., Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a boating accident on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, in the area of 5083 Watergate Drive. They transported two people to the hospital.

Authorities have not released any information about the accident or the condition of the second person injured.
