Absolutely! God wants and needs you strong in every area of life, including your wallet. Oh yeah, that's absolutely true – whether you believe it or not, regardless of what you may have been taught in the past. He plainly says so in His Word. You've probably read or heard 3 John 2 at least a dozen times: "Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers." In the original text, that Greek word ( euodoo ) translated as prosper means 'to succeed in reaching [a destination or goal],' and also 'to succeed in business affairs.' It's the Holy Spirit's (and then, God's) desire above anything else that His children not only be healthy, but financially successful, too. And you know that God (if He has His way) does not do anything small-scale (1 Corinthians 2: 9; Ephesians 3:20). If you do not think so, just go outside on a clear night and look up!
It's also quite true that God needs us to be prosperous. "Needs us ??" Yes, critically. In this natural, earthly world, the things of the spiritual realm are expressed only through physical resources. Now, that's not a new concept at all. We, as the Body of Christ, are the vessels that carry His Anointing around on this earth. We're His hands and feet. Jesus declared that we would do the works He did and even greater ones, because He was on His way to the Father (so that He could send back the Holy Spirit to live in and animate each of us). And, on the other side of the fence, He also taught that evil spirits continuously seeking a natural body in which to inhabit – and they, too, will express them through it (Luke 8: 30-33, 11: 24-26) .
So, if God's will is going to be done around here, it's going to be done through us , His people. He needs us to work through and by, which is just what He meant when He said, "I will dwell in them [His people], and walk in them" (2 Corinthians 6:16). God is the one who gives us the power and ability and favor to become wealthy, and He does it so that He can establish His covenant here on the earth (Deuteronomy 8:18). What covenant? The covenant He made with Abraham back in the day, to bless him. The 'Big Picture'-plan was to get that Blessing out to the whole world through Abraham and his Seed, which is Jesus Christ (Genesis 12: 2-3, 22: 17-18; Galatians 3:16); and we're parties to that same covenant promise if we're in Him (Galatians 3:29).
God is trying to get His Blessing to everyone . Not only does is take money to do that – to "Delegize" the world – but a healthy and wealthy individual who operates his or her life by the Wisdom of God is an amazing beacon of light who will attract people around him, those who ' re stuck in trouble and darkness and can not find a way out. They'll come to his light – the Light of God shining through him – and thereby receive a heaping helping of God's love. So, remember, your blessing is not just for you!
