Golf Course Details
Arthur Hills Course
Located at Palmetto Hall Plantation on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, the Arthur Hills course has been added to 'The Heritage Collection' courses on Hilton Head. Expect to wind through oaks and pines draped in moss that cast a shadow on the grounds making for beautiful scenery and a great day on the greens. The course offers four different tee positions for golfers of all levels.
Off season rates for Arthur Hills begin at $ 69 while peak season rates run between $ 109 – $ 135. In between dates run between $ 80 and $ 109. Later in the day, rates tend to drop by around $ 20 to $ 40. Three round packages are available starting at $ 300 during peak season.
Sea Pines Ocean Course
Located at North Sea Pines Drive on Hilton Head Island, the Ocean Course has hosted many PGA players and champions. This par 72 golf course is one you'll not want to miss. With the lagoons and bunkers placed to give any golfer a challenge and with trees surrounding the course, you feel like you are set apart from the rest of the island. It is also an 'Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary' making the natural environment surrounding you an even more relaxing golf destination getaway.
Off season rates begin around $ 99 for early morning to $ 69 at twilight. Peak season rates begin at $ 129 for early morning and $ 75 for twilight.
Harbor Town Golf Links
Located at 11 Lighthouse Lane on Hilton Head Island, Harbor Town Golf Links is the home of the PGA Tour event, 'The Verizon Heritage', held every April. This par 71 course has been graced with the famous Jack Nicklaus, Hale Irwin, Hubert Green, and Johnny Miller just to name a few. You've probably heard of its par 4 18th hole as it has become quite renamed and a bit scary to say the least.
Peak season rates can run you around $ 259 for early morning and twilight, but off season you can expect a bit of a price break at $ 209 early morning and $ 159 twilight hours.
What to Expect?
You will need to set up a tee time in advance at these golf courses as times fill up quickly. The good news is that playing later in the day will give you enough money to spend on another course the next day which is common for most courses.
If you make reservations to stay at one of the resorts, you can book a tee time in advance too. By booking early, you'll have more time to save money, pick up some extra equipment, and have your vacation planned out before you ever arrive which will leave you relaxed and without the added worry of finding a course to play.
